Interactive Program for Teaching Tick Morphology
The Information Services Division announces the availability of a new CD entitled Interactive Program for Teaching Tick Morphology. This educational teaching tool is designed to provide a self-paced course of instruction that will enable medical personnel to confidently identify ticks in the absence of a professional tick taxonomist. The program comprises five parts: a tutorial in tick morphology, demonstrations in identifying ticks by an expert, student identification practice sessions, a glossary of tick morphology, and a collection of tick identification keys. The program was compiled by CDR George W. Schultz, Department of Preventive Medicine and Biometrics, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences; Dr. Richard G. Robbins, ISD; and Mr. David W. Hill, AFPMB.
